Team Overview:
As a part of the Royal Caribbean Group organization, our Product Development Team is at the forefront of innovation and exceptional guest experiences. The department is set out to transform the organization into a world-class vacation company, competing beyond cruise industry competitors.
The Thrills & Attractions Team within the Product Development Department is responsible for spearheading the next generation of thrilling attractions across the ships and private destinations portfolio. We are looking for an intern who is highly motivated and passionate about the entire guest experience and what goes into making incredible vacation experiences for our guests. We are looking for interns who are knowledgeable in the amusement, attractions, theme park, and/or waterpark industries and are ready to take on the creative problem-solving challenges associated with learning, launching, and evolving the attractions which drive our business.

Responsibilities include becoming familiar with our guests’ needs and upcoming product portfolio to analyze, strategize, and recommend new and/or evolved attraction experiences across our brand; identifying key players and critical stakeholders needed to bring our ideas to life; and collaborating with several cross-functional partners in the organization to support our initiatives; presenting and pitching ideas to various leadership teams throughout the organization; as well as the opportunity to support the team in launching a new ship.
Internship Overview:

Develop attraction ideas for new and existing products in our fleet; creative problem-solving to leverage an existing space on a ship and identify ways to evolve and/or repurpose with a new attraction

Analyze data and trends in the amusement and attractions industry to support and develop recommendations and strategies for how the brand will continue positioning itself as a thrilling brand experience

Support the Thrills & Attractions Team on various ship and land-based projects that are in different stages of project completion

In addition, the individual will have the opportunity to network across our brand to gain insight on our team’s heavy reliance on effective collaboration
Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s degree program or graduate degree program in Themed Entertainment Design or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026.

Must be willing to be based in South Florida from June 2nd – August 8th, 2025

A minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA is preferred

Must have authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis

Proven leadership ability, either in a student organization, project, and/or outside the classroom

Skills using all Microsoft programs, including PowerPoint (Keynote is a plus)

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

Ability to think strategically to creatively problem-solve and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative

Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Able to remain adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
