The Senior Manager, Commercial – Mexico & Latin America plays a pivotal role in driving strategic commercial initiatives and operational excellence across the region. This role leads cross-functional projects aligned with Royal Caribbean International’s global priorities, including long-term strategic planning, deployment optimization, revenue growth, and market development. The position requires strong collaboration across cultural and geographical boundaries, working closely with senior leadership, Revenue Management, Deployment & Itinerary Planning, and Financial Planning & Analysis. This leader will also support the development of new revenue streams and distribution strategies, while representing the region in global forums and ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision for profitable growth and expansion.
Position Based at the Mexico City Office and Open to Travel
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute multi-year commercial strategies aligned with Royal Caribbean’s global objectives and tailored to the Latin American market.
- Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for Mexico and Latin America, integrating inputs from Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Finance.
- Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and consumer insights.
- Owns and executes the brand´s high-level global strategic process, including development of the strategic framework, strategic vision and KPIs, while continuously aligning strategies and initiatives with brand objectives.
- Guides business decisions to maximize various streams of revenue and utilization by partnering with internal and external departments to gather robust information that includes, but is not limited to, analytics, correlation analysis, customer information and data, and return on invested capital analysis.
- Brings creative ideas that meet needs, solve problems, and drive the business strategy. Manages the creative process and facilitates brainstorming. Projects how ideas may play out in the marketplace.
Revenue & Market Performance
- Monitor and analyze market performance against targets; recommend tactical actions to optimize guest sourcing, load factors, and net ticket revenue.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management to ensure pricing strategies and promotions are aligned with market dynamics and brand positioning.
- Collaborate with the Onboard Revenue team to ensure reaching OBR targets and revenue. Including PCP, Casino and On-board performance.
Distribution & Trade Channel Management
- Develop and manage trade distribution strategies, including commission structures, co-op marketing investments, and incentive programs.
- Build strong relationships with key trade partners, preferred sales representatives (PSRs), and corporate accounts to drive sales and profitability.
Digital & Direct-to-Consumer Focus
- Support the development of digital distribution platforms and direct-to-consumer strategies in collaboration with global and regional teams.
- Ensure digital marketing activities are optimized for ROI and aligned with brand standards.
Commercial Reporting & Analysis
- Lead the creation of commercial dashboards and performance reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership through executive-level presentations and business cases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with global teams in Miami and other international offices to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
- Represent the Latin America region in global commercial forums and planning meetings.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial, revenue management, or strategic planning roles, ideally within the travel, cruise, or hospitality industry.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex commercial initiatives.
- Strong understanding of the Latin American travel market, consumer behavior, and distribution channels.
- Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with executive presence.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Hyperion, Excel).
- Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
