Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Shipboard Recruiting oversees the full recruitment and selection process for Shipboard talent acquisition in designing and maintaining a process to provide the best possible experience for both the candidate and the hiring teams. This position provides the strategic direction of recruiting activities for respective cost centers to support hiring objectives. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Talent Acquisition professionals to proactively support the recruitment needs of the organization. Responsible for all aspects of managing a team including but not limited to setting strategy, performance management, hiring, development and workload balancing.
- Partner with leaders throughout the organization to identify shipboard staffing volume and skill requirements for shipboard positions’ external recruiting. Plan, develop, and implement an effective Talent Acquisition strategy, partnering with key internal stakeholders and hiring teams to identify critical talent needs, and conduct skills gap analysis.
- Develop new strategies, frameworks, and processes to identify a pipeline of talent, to help scale the shipboard recruiting effort, as well as exploring variables beyond a resume and interviewing that can make someone successful at RCG.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in talent acquisition processes and strategies, implementing best practices and staying updated with industry trends and technology.
- Continuously refine recruiting process to promote effective and quality, efficient hiring practices using consultative skills to influence all levels of internal stakeholders.
- Spearhead change initiatives within the Talent Acquisition team, adapting to evolving market conditions and industry trends while inspiring the team to embrace change.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in talent acquisition strategies to educate internal partners on best practices in sourcing, legal requirements, interviewing skills and other related topics.
- Lead, coach, and develop the recruiting team
- Ensure consultative partnership and expertise on executing the recruitment lifecycle requirement identification, sourcing strategies, candidate pipeline development, screening, candidate relationship management, selection, negotiation/closings, and pre-onboarding.
- Collaborate with HR partners and business leadership on the workforce demand to meet overall business targets, as well as the communication of strategy, initiatives, and performance metrics.
- Manage the relationships and partnerships with hiring partners and referral agents, to achieve desired results.
- Develop metrics to monitor and assess effectiveness of various methods and use metrics to identify future team direction.
- Influences partners and peers through positive relationships, credibility, and recruitment expertise.
- Exercise judgement and mentor team members to troubleshoot & resolve issues as they arise.
- Ensure team compliance with all government, and human resources laws, policies, and procedures.
- In collaboration with TA Operations team, evaluate need for different recruiting tools and talent attraction methodology to establish pipeline of candidates.
- Accountable for team deliverables within the TA space; right people in the right jobs at the right time ensuring KPIs and SOPs are adhered to.
- Ad hoc analysis to identify opportunities for business process improvement.
- The position is required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.
- This position will require travel up to 15 % of the time.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 5+ years of combined Talent Acquisition, HR or business experience. Shipboard experience preferred.
- 5+ years of high-volume recruitment experience within a Global organization.
- Experience driving recruiting strategies and building senior-level executive relationships to make recommendations and influence decisions.
- Unwavering passion for employee experience.
- Deep knowledge and ability to apply Talent Acquisition trends and best practices.
- Influential team leader and relationship builder. Experience and ability to discuss with and influence leadership teams, as well as to collaborate with and influence various clients, stakeholders, and related teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Must have basic Excel skills to include building formulas and presenting data

- Working knowledge of accepted human resources recruitment practices; ability to acquire knowledge of recruitment processes in various countries.
- Knowledge of Maritime Laboure Convention.
- Knowledge on global recruitment risk control factors including security, medical, immigration, and travel restrictions.
- Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of Microsoft software packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to execute visions.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Exceptional attention to detail required.
- Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information.
- Ability to communicate tactfully, verbally and in writing, to gather and relay information in a multinational environment consisting of department heads, managers, and coworkers.
- Knowledge of world geography, time differences and demographic.
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically as needed.
