Royal Caribbean Group’s International Marketing team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Salesforce backend email developer reporting to the Manager, E-commerce Experience.
This position will work on-site in Royal Caribbean’s Mexico office from Monday to Thursday. Friday is a remote work-from-home day.
Position Summary:
As a CRM Back End Email Developer, you will be a key player in our Royal Caribbean International team, focusing on creating and executing personalized, high-quality email campaigns. Your role will encompass the development, implementation, and optimization of automations, journey builder email templates and API integrations. You will work closely with the program owner, developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to deliver engaging email experiences that drive customer engagement and conversion.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring technical accuracy and cross-platform compatibility. Your expertise in SQL, AMP Script, HTML, CSS, and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) will be critical in personalizing communications and enhancing our email marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of marketing automation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy custom solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Implement and manage API integrations to connect Salesforce Marketing Cloud with other systems.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts using AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL to enhance marketing automation capabilities.
- Utilize data from Salesforce and other integrated systems to personalize and target communications.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in email marketing, back-end development, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations, such as GDPR and CAN-SPAM.
- Participate in code reviews
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations.
- Perform regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and changes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and IT to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture and data models.
- Experience with Journey Builder, Email Studio and Automation Studio.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Back-End Developer within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications and advanced experience with SQL and API integrations.
