Royal Caribbean Group’s  Human Resources team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Analyst, Human Resources Business Partner reporting to the Sr. Manager, Human Resources Business Partner.

 

This role will work onsite in Mexico City – Monday to Thursday onsite and Fridays remote.

 

Position Summary

 

The Analyst, HR Business Partner for Mexico and Latin America is a strategic HR professional responsible for partnering with business leaders across the region to develop and implement human resource strategies that align with the company's mission, vision, values, and business objectives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, providing guidance across all areas of Human Resources, including talent management, employee relations, organizational development, recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, compliance, and workforce planning. The role also supports key regional initiatives that contribute to a positive employee experience and organizational growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with managers and business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and business performance.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, providing timely guidance and support on HR-related inquiries and employee lifecycle matters.
  • Partner with the GBS Corporate team to support regional business growth and nearshoring initiatives, including the implementation and integration of new teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational changes, workforce planning, and talent decisions.
  • Lead initiatives related to talent development, succession planning, career growth, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Analyze employee relations, engagement, and turnover trends to identify opportunities and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team on local recruitment strategies, workforce planning initiatives, hiring processes, and candidate pipeline discussions, providing HR partnership and support throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Partner with the Early Careers team to support the development, performance management, and overall experience of interns participating in local internship programs.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs), including Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development, to implement HR programs and best practices across the region.
  • Ensure recruitment, hiring, and employment practices are equitable, compliant, and aligned with local labor regulations and company policies.
  • Support investigations related to employee concerns, ethics matters, workplace complaints, discrimination, harassment, and policy violations in partnership with Legal, Internal Audit, and Global Security.
  • Utilize HRIS platforms and reporting tools to generate data-driven insights and support informed business decisions.
  • Facilitate employee training sessions, workshops, onboarding activities, and HR communications that support employee development and cultural alignment.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure regional relevance, consistency, and legal compliance.
  • Lead or participate in regional and business-specific HR initiatives, projects, and process improvement efforts.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including private medical and life insurance, ensuring accurate employee records, effective vendor management, employee communications, onboarding webinars, and ongoing education regarding benefit utilization.
  • Manage, coordinate, and monitor immigration processes for foreign employees, maintaining close communication with immigration counsel, employees, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely completion of all requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and company-sponsored events that foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of corporate social responsibility and community engagement initiatives.
  • Support the creation, implementation, and growth of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), promoting diversity, inclusion, employee engagement, and a culture of belonging.
  • Support Global and Local Recognition Programs, ensuring effective execution, communication, and employee participation.
  • Partner with the HR team and Office Manager to support workplace safety protocols, office policies, employee well-being initiatives, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain employment documentation, onboarding records, employee files, and other HR-related documentation in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with external vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of HR programs and employee support services.
  • Conduct exit interviews and work with line managers of client groups to understand and act on emerging trends. 
  • Manage employee offboarding and termination processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and local labor regulations.  
  • Support labor compliance initiatives through policy updates, process documentation, and implementation of employment-related procedures; coordinate and respond to labor audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cost containment through effective budget management, particularly related to travel and HR program implementation.


Qualifications: 

  • 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in human resources
  • Bachelor’s degree in business. Concentration in Human Resources Management is highly preferred.
  • PHR Certification is a plus but not required
  • Ability to understand laws and policies and interpret these for others.  
  • Ability to facilitate training sessions to audiences at all levels of the organization
