Position Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, Americas, this position has ultimate responsibility for the generation of profitable revenue growth through increasing booked and sailed guests within the Northeast region from key strategic accounts, individual retail locations and through regional corporate and incentive business to meet corporate growth goals.  Has complete responsibility for results from assigned region and management responsibility for 7 Field Sales and Key Account Managers and approximately $120M in annual revenue.  Responsible for ensuring the use of automated booking tools and eMarketing tools with all accounts.  Also responsible for development and implementation of all regional promotions, co-op advertising, and sales plan negotiations.  

 

Must live in Northeast territory.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead team of local Field Sales and Key Account Managers to grow profitable business in addition to coaching, training and providing direction to develop direct reports and ensure that revenue targets and KPI’s are met  
  • Drive team to focus on selling new business as well as ensuring the use of automated selling, marketing and booking tools with all accounts, through face-to-face visits, conversations and training 
  • Responsible for effectively managing assigned budget (approximately $4M) to effectively deliver on all assigned Key Performance indicators  
  • Analyze data regarding which travel partners are selling which products with the highest APDs to ensure that we are channeling the appropriate energy and investment with those partners  
  • Responsible for yearly contract negotiations, selling and communicating revenue/growth goals and travel agent training with regional partners 
  • Works with Key Account and Field Sales Managers to develop territory account plans and marketing strategies for assigned account base   
  • With the input from Miami sales & marketing departments, be an active participant in marketing decisions including advertising and promotional efforts 
  • Manage regional sales activities   
  • Create new regional opportunities, based on need, with revenue management partners and partner strategically with the right travel partners to execute  
  • Responsible for qualifying opportunities as presented by Field Sales and Key Account Managers to ensure that every dollar, opportunity and investment of time has the maximum return on investment

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree from 4-year college or university required, with a Masters degree preferred  
  • 10+ years experience in industry sales/marketing required    
  • Previous travel industry experience preferred  
  • Established success and advanced management level proficiency in the core competencies required 
  • Must be able to travel and live in assigned region. 
  • Critical thinker, who demonstrates drive to improve processes where appropriate.
